Indomitus

Ya me he acabado de leer este libro escrito por Gav Thorpe y publicado en español por Ediciones Minotauro, en el que se narran las aventuras y desventuras de un grupo de Ultramarines enfrentados a una fuerza necrona con una misión muy particular.

Este libro se publicó originalmente junto con el lanzamiento de la 9ª edición de Warhammer 40K, y sirve como presentación de las facciones enfrentadas. Además, la mayor parte de los enfrentamientos se pueden reproducir con las miniaturas de la caja.

Sobre la historia, sirve para presentar y poner en contexto ambas facciones, dirigiéndose sobre todo a personas que acaban de iniciarse en el hobby. El estilo narrativo es sencillo y directo, tal y como suele hacer Gav Thorpe.

I’ve already finished this book written by Gav Thorpe and published in Spanish by Ediciones Minotauro, that narrates the adventures of a group of Ultramarines confronted with a Necron force with a very particular mission.

This book was published originally along with the launch of Warhammer 40K 9^th edition, and presents us with the confronted sides. Also, most of the fights can be reproduced with the miniatures from the box.

About the history, it presents and contextualizes both factions, mainly aiming at people who is starting with the hobby. The narrative style is simple and direct, as it’s usual with Gav Thorpe.

En el año 2019 Games Workshop produjo una serie limitada de cajas temáticas para su suplemento Apocalypse. En cada una de ellas se encontraba un destacamento de diversas facciones. En esta entrada describo la correspondiente a los Necrones (Necrons Outrider Detachment).

In 2019 Games Workshop produced a limited series of thematic boxed sets for the Apocalypse supplement. In each of them there was a detachment of a faction. In this post I describe the one belonging to the Necrons (Necrons Outrider Detachment).

Introducción / Introduction:

Esta es una de las cajas de campaña que salieron en 2018 y enfrenta a Adeptus Mechanicus con Necrones por la posesión de piedra negra en la superficie de Amontep II. Este mineral ha cobrado una gran importancia en el trasfondo generado por la 8ª edición, y posiblemente sea parte del desarrollo de la futura 9ª.
Incluye 27 miniaturas con sus peanas (13 Adeptus Mechanicus y 14 Necrones) y dos libretos.

This is one of the campaign boxes that were released in 2018 and confronts Adeptus Mechanicus versus Necrons for the possession of blackstone in the surface of Amontep II. This mineral has taken great importance in the lore of the 8th edition, and possibly will be part of the future 9th edition development.
It includes 27 miniatures with their bases (13 Adeptus Mechanicus and 14 Necrons) and two softback books.
