Kill Team 2

Esta mañana hemos probado el reglamento de la versión 2 del juego Kill team en el CLub RECS de Gavà, enfrentando a las fuerzas de la Death Guard de Pep contra mis Iron Warriors.

Nuestra idea era repasar todos los pasos del juego posibles del juego y buscar la interpretación de las reglas básicas, cosa que hemos conseguido.  Hemos encontrado que es un juego que permite hacer partidas rápidas ambientadas en el mundo de Warhammer 40K, sin la necesidad de pintar un ejército grande (jugamos con tan solo 11 miniaturas) ni de revisar un reglamento extenso.

Creo que no va a ser nuestra última...

This morning we've tested the version 2 of the Kill Team in the Club RECS from Gavà, facing the forces of the Pep's Death Guard against my Iron Warriors.

Our idea was to check all the possible steps of he game and look for the interpretation of the basic rules, what we've done. We have found out that's a game that allows

to make fast games based in the Warhammer 40K world, without the need to paint a big army (we played with just 11 miniatures) or checking an extense ruleset.

I believe that it'snot going to be our last game...

                            

DAU 2019

Este próximo mes de Noviembre, los días 23 y 24, se celebrará el 8é Festival de Joc DAU en el recinto de Fabra i Coats de Barcelona. Esta es una gran ocasión para conocer a todos los clubs de Cataluña.

Como ya va siendo habitual, se presentarán juegos, habrá demostraciones y, presumiblemente, se podrán comprar miniaturas y juegos. 

On next November, the days 23 and 24, the 8é Festival de Joc DAU Will be held in the Fabra and Coats place in Barcelona. This is a great occasion to know all the clubs in Cataluña.

As it's usual, games Will be shown, there Will be demos and, presumably, games and miniatures could be bought.

Un mar de Jocs

El próximo día 9 de Marzo, y para conmemorar el 250 aniversario de la Facultad de Náutica de Barcelona, se celebrarán las jornadas "Un mar de jocs" en la propia escuela.
Desde algunos clubes de Barcelona, como VIIII Legión, +1 al Dau y RECS, colaboraremos recreando la batalla de Arsuf usando las reglas de DBMM.


The next March 9th, and in order to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Nautical School of Barcelona, the games meeting "Un mar de jocs" will be held into that School.
From some clubs of Barcelona, like VIIII Legión, +1 al Dau and RECS, we'll collaborate by recreating the battle of Arsuf using the DBMM rules.

Pulp Alley

Hace unos días estuvimos jugando una partida de iniciación a Pulp Alley en el Club RECS de Gavà. Allí confrontamos un grupo de soldados de la Legión Étrangère a otro grupo de aventureros en una pequeña aldea africana.

Estuvimos revisando los mecanismos de este juego de escaramuzas, basado en la activación mediante una combinación de dados y cartas. Llegamos a la conclusión de que este juego puede ser muy fácil de aprender y rápido de jugar. ¡Y además puede adaptarse a cualquier época o escala!

Creo que ha llegado el momento de hacerse una banda...

Some days ago we played an introductory game of Pulp Alley in the Club RECS of Gavà. There we confronted a group of Legión Étrangère soldiers to a group of adventurers in a small african village.

We checked the mechanical of this skirmish game, based in the activation through a combination of dice and cards. We arrived at the conclusion that this game can be easily learned and fast played. And it can be adapted to any period or scale! 

Ithink that time has arrived to gather a band...

Kill Team

El pasado fin de semana jugué mi primera partida de Kill Team en el Club RECS de Gavà. Mis Orkoz asaltaron a los marines espaciales de Pep para hacerse con el control de un edificio clave de una instalación imperial. Aquí dejo algunas fotos:

Last weekend I played my first Kill Team game in the Club RECS of Gavà. Mi Orkz assaulted Pep’s space marines in order to grab a key building of an Imperial enclave. Here are some photographs:

Como ninguno había jugado antes a este sistema de juego tuvimos que darle bastantes vueltas al reglamento para encontrar e interpretar cada sección, lo que ralentizó los primeros turnos. Pero enseguida aprendimos lo suficiente como para coger un buen ritmo y decidirnos a volver a jugar.

Mi opinión después de esta experiencia es que no es un reglamento complicado, pero como otros wargames de escaramuzas debe jugarse varias veces para poder controlar la cantidad de variantes que presenta. Y que una vez dominado, será interesante y divertido jugarlo. Así que voy a seguir pintando la horda Orka…

As any of us had previously played this game system we had to brood on the ruleset to find and understand every section, which slowed down the first turns. But soon we learnt enough in order get a good rhythm and decide to play again.

My opinion after this experience is that it’s not a complicated game, but as in other skirmish wargames it must be played some times to control all the variants. And that after mastering the game, it’ll be interesting and fun to play. So that I’ll continue painting the Ork horde…

VII Napoleonic Open Games

El sábado 20 de Octubre se celebrará, como cada año, el Napoleonic Open Games en Montmeló, organizado por la Associació Napoleònica Wargames, con los habituales concursos y tiendas.

On October 20th Will be held, as every year, the Napoleonic Open Games in Montmeló, organized by the Associació Napoleònica Wargames, with the usual demonstrations of wargames and shops.

DAU histórico con Alpha Ares 2018 / Historical DAU with Alpha Ares 2018

Lion Rampant en Sant Nicasi / Lion Rampant in Sant Nicasi

La semana pasada celebramos un encuentro en el Club RECS de Gavà, por las fiestas de Sant Nicasio. La idea era llevar a cabo demostraciones de reglamentos que hasta ahora no hubiésemos jugado en el club, así que junto con mi amigo Pep preparamos una partida de Lion Rampant.

Jugamos el escenario A (Bloodbath) con mesnadas de 24 puntos y el reglamento resultó ser un éxito. Rápido y sencillo pero a la vez completo. Ya estamos pensando en preparar otra partida.

Last week we held a meeting in the RECS Club of Gavà, in the Town’s patron festive day of Sant Nicasi . The idea was to show demonstrations of rulesets that we hadn’t previously played in the Club, so that my friend Pep and me prepared a Lion Rampant game. 

We played the A scenary (Bloodbath) with 24 points retinues, and the ruleset was an success. Fast and simple but also complete. We’re already preparing another game.

DAU histórico con Alpha Ares 2017 / Historical DAU with Alpha Ares 2017

El próximo 18 de Noviembre se celebrarán las jornadas DAU histórico en colaboración con el Club Alpha Ares en el recinto de Fabra i Coats de Barcelona.
Se podrán encontrar demostraciones de juegos, torneos, talleres de modelismo y conferencias. Como invitados especiales, estarán presentes los hermanos Perry, que impartirán un taller de escultura de miniaturas. ¡Una ocasión única!

On next November 18th, the historical DAU Games Day will be held in the Fabra i Coats Hall of Barcelona in collaboration with the Alpha Ares Club.
There you'll find games demonstrations, tournaments, modelling workshops and conferences. As special guests will come the Perry brothers, who will make a sculpting masterclass. An incredible opportunity!

El próximo 7 de Octubre se celebrará en el club RECS de Gavà un torneo de L'art de la Guerre a 100 AP. Es la primera vez que se acudo, así que ya estoy preparando la lista y pintando las últimas miniaturas.

On next October 7th a tournament of L'Art de la Guerre at 100 points will be held in the RECS Club of Gavà. This is the first time that I play, so that I'm already preparing the list and painting the last miniatures. 

DBMM Games Day 2017

El próximo 20 de Mayo se celebrará en el club RECS de Gavà el DBMM Games Day 2017. Como cada año, prepararemos un escenario histórico y se celebrarán partidas a 240 AP.

Siguiendo la dinámica del año pasado, aprovecharemos para poner un contenedor de Gavà Solidària para la recogida de alimentos para beneficencia.

Next May 20th we’ll celebrate the DBMM Games Day 2017 in the RECS club from Gavà. As every year we’ll develop an historical scenario and 240 AP games.

Following last years dynamics, we’ll place a container from Gavà Solidària in order to donate food for charity.

El pasado Domingo se hizo una demo del juego Tanks en el Club Recs de Gavà. Unos cuantos de nuestro grupo de jugadores asistimos para conocerlo, ya que hasta el momento no habíamos tenido ocasión.
En un sencillo encuentro entre alemanes y americanos, pudimos aprender completamente a jugarlo. Su mecánica lo hace ideal para una partida rápida entre amigos al no emplear ni demasiadas reglas ni demasiados vehículos. Aquí está el enlace al fabricante del juego. Last Sunday a demonstration game of the Tanks wargame was held in the RECS club, in Gavà. A few of our playgroup attended to know it, as we hadn’t had an opportunity to do so.
In a simple encounter between Germans and Americans, we could whole learn to play the game. The game mechanics make it ideal for a fast play between friends as there aren’t too many rules and you don’t use too may vehicles. Here is the link to the game manufacturer. Dia de juegos napoleónicos / Napoleonic Wargaming day

El pasado 11 una representación del club RECS nos trasladamos a las jornadas napoleónicas de Montmelò a representar el escenario de Liebertwolkwitz, empleando el reglamento Age of Eagles 2. En esta entrada podréis encontrar el informe de batalla.

Last 11th a representation of the RECS club went to the Montmelò napoleonic wargaming day to represent the Liebertwolkwitz scenario, using the Age of Eagles 2 ruleset. In this post you'll find the report of the battle.
